Postman’s Park
One of our favourite places in London, Postman’s park, includes a wall
commemorating ordinary people who lost their lives trying to save
others. We always wondered why it was called postman’s park when
there isn’t a post office around, but we learned today that the old
post office (a beautiful old building) is now a Japanese bank.
Actually, they saved the building from being knocked down. They did
the same to another building that was the old Financial Times HQ.
Gotta love the Japanese.
