Went searching for the White House garden but couldn’t seem to find it!

Stopped off to see Julia Child’s kitchen in the ground floor of the
National Museum of American History. They have changed the display
slighty–now keeping everyone behind plexiglass rather than just the
rope (as shown in the movie). This must be due to the renewed
popularity in the exhibit.

I have been obsessed with seeing this metallic flag ever since Tricia
posted a picture of it at the Museum’s reopening last fall. Had I
realized that the Star Spangled Banner lies behind this, I might have
ventured in.

Started my fun day in DC at the Mall.

So happy to make it to bookclub! Thank you Tricia for hosting it the
weekend I was in town. Special props to Christine and Christy for
driving from DC and Sara for bringing Andrew!

Hung out with Sara and Chris and got to meet their new baby Andrew (5
months old )
