Originally built for the sailors of the Royal Navy, this dining hall
was deemed too nice to eat in and promptly started allowing tours to
the public. I like the mirrors to help your neck "from becoming a Pez
dispenser"!

Had a great 10 mile hike in Woburn on Saturday.
We hiked through the Safari Park where this guy wanted to come over
and greet us!

Today I had my first real pie at F. Cooke’s in Hoxton ( a pie, mash
and eel house)

It came complete with a starter of jellied eels (which were
good–thanks La Rochelle)
and liquour (a parsley light brown gravy). Best part was the pie was
cooked in original Edwardian pie tins.
Yum!

Even crazier was the aquaculture tank in the rear of the building
where they kept the eels fresh til time to kill them!
I stuck my hand into the tank and tried to catch one…and did…at
which point I promptly freaked out by screaming and throwing water all
over myself.

I have been obsessing about this pizza, with balsamic drizzle, ever
since I ate it last October with Fraser and Andrea.
It is so good! We had it again tonight much to my delight!
